Safety and Stellar Customer Service – Two Top Priorities for 2021

Safety and Stellar Customer Service – Two Top Priorities for 2021

Delivering every Construction, Healthcare Renovation, Integration, Installation or Field Service project with unsurpassed customer service is always the goal at KR Wolfe. Equally important, however, is maintaining the highest safety standards—both on and off the jobsite.

As we start this new year, KR Wolfe wants to remind our team, our customers and potential customers that SAFETY will continue to be absolutely essential to our corporate culture and QUEST: Quality, Understanding and caring, Exceptional service, SPIRIT, Trust and integrity.

Safety—The Holy Grail in Construction

In the construction business, safety is the holy grail. Safety can make the difference between a successful project and a disaster. Safety failures and the resulting financial and legal losses can cause the demise of an entire company.

The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA Act) was passed to prevent workers from being killed or seriously harmed at work. Under the OSHA Act, employers have the responsibility to provide a safe workplace. OSHA standards describe the methods employers are legally required to follow to protect their workers from hazards. KR Wolfe is proud to have a policy of getting all of the company’s technicians OHSA certified.

We proactively promote safety in the workplace and will continue to ensure that all “Wolfe Pack” technicians have every available tool and certification necessary to complete projects safely and on-time while exceeding client expectations.OSHA certification helps to ensure that workers are knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.

The High Cost of Safety Failures

According to National Safety Council’s Injury Facts, the total costs from preventable work injuries and deaths in 2018 was $170.8 billion. This figure includes wage and productivity losses of $52.4 billion, medical expenses of $35.0 billion, and administrative expenses of $57.6 billion. The cost per medically consulted injury in 2018 was $41,000, while the cost per death was $1,190,000. These figures include estimates of wage losses, medical expenses, administrative expenses, and employer costs.

Safety Measures for Infection Control

Infection control is another critical safety focus at KR Wolfe. In addition to protecting workers from preventable injuries and exposure to harmful or toxic chemicals, the firm follows strict Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols.

These protocols are outlined by the National Center for Disease Control and are designed to protect employees, patients and visitors inside the healthcare facilities where we work. KR Wolfe has delivered turnkey construction and/or capital equipment installations for some of the nation’s premier healthcare facilities, including Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General and UC Davis Medical Center.

Rapid Deployment of Infection Control Support

KR Wolfe has dedicated teams ready to respond with boots on the ground within 24 hours to set up or fortify a facility’s infection control infrastructure. The company is prepared to deploy teams to meet infection control needs at healthcare facilities across the nation.

While KR Wolfe is widely known for its expertise in technology-forward Healthcare Construction and Healthcare Renovation, the company, with its multiple specialty divisions, is equally adept at delivering turnkey infection control technologies within the education, transportation, hospitality and commercial real estate industries.
